Work with Big Brother.
Research proves that perfomance improves with both
measurement and accountability to somebody else! This is
proven. Even I use coaches, mentors, and
consultants. This is vital. No man or woman ever
built an island by themself.
If you are a goal oriented person or an
entrepreneur, invest in a coach, consultant, or mentor to whom
you can stay accountable to. Make sure that person
(or persons) is successful-not your beer-guzzling former
frat brother who subscribes to Maxim magazine for success
advice.
I have a few in my arsenal. One is a guy who runs
a successful search firm whose clients include Colgate,
Coca-Cola, and Russell Simmons (Def Jam Records).
His typical income is $40-75K for two days work.
Another mentor of mine is guy who's traded the stock market
since 1987. He took $7000 in January and turned it into
over $400K by October. The guys that he
associates with make $30-40K a day. Yes, it's
true. That is not a typo.
The moral of this point is to have someone who will
keep you on task, who has your best interest at heart, can
teach you how to get where you want to go, and is
currently "walking the walk".
To your success!
